I was mortified as a father described the horrifying details of his daughters cancer. He stopped by my upholstery shop after a 14 hour work day to purchase a piece of foam. Out of his mouth he spoke of the cancer that consumed his twelve year old daughter. During the fight for her life she lost her left eye, her left breast, both ovaries and her uterus.

My greatest fear is that my life will be unfulfilled. My daughters biggest fear is that an evil person might take or hurt one of her three young children. Recently, I met a woman whose biggest fear is cancer. My elderly neighbors biggest fear is dieing alone. What is your biggest fear? Does fear seem to control you?

Have you ever felt fear because you knew that the problem you were facing took away all of your control? A fear that drove you to your knees begging God to protect you from the dread of pain.

Often we can go through life living one day at a time without really going through any more than the normal demands of everyday living. Getting up each morning, eating breakfast, going to work and looking forward to the weekend when we can spend time with our families. Every once in a while we are thrown a curve ball when sickness grabs us and we have to work in a doctors appointment.

The doctors came and went each prescribing some kind of remedy that tasted so bad that I longed to vomit just to get the taste out of my mouth. It was an illness that came on me suddenly as if it was waiting in a dark corner just for the right time to raise its evil head and force me to surrender to its will. I didn't want to die, but I could feel myself slipping slowly down into a darkness that beckoned me to follow it now!

I had tried every doctor, believing that someone had the knowledge to treat my sickness, but nothing ever changed.

It was a day filled with black ominous clouds. The courtroom was dimly lit and the sound of distant rumbling flashed outside the windows warning of an impending storm. The tables where the two attorneys sat opposing each other, were evenly spaced before the judge's platform.

In one quick swoop the judge raised his gavel and hit his desk sending echoes of sound through the once still courtroom.

If Jesus was suppose to be a warrior king, then why did He come as a peacemaker? Why did Jesus associate with the poor, prostitutes, tax collectors and those who were considered to be sinners? Why was Jesus crucified when all He did was good works during His lifetime?

Many great theologians of the Bible try to answer these questions by asking even more questions.

The movie was given a four star rating and my excitement at seeing it grew as I sat in the huge theater anticipating the beginning of the show. I loved the heroes and anticipated the destruction of the villains. I enjoyed the lavish scenery and loved it when evil was defeated so that justice could reign supreme. It was a typical multi-million dollar blockbuster movie that millions around the world were anxious to see.

Recently my son, who is a minister with a master in divinity from the South Western Baptist Theological Seminary, in Dallas, Texas was fired from his job. He had put years of service into the biggest First Southern Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas as their Video Production Engineer.
They were on a crusade to stop the evil grandma villain from destroying the world. Almost five year old Samuel, dressed in his Spiderman towel pretended to cast webs while three year old batman Paige ran full force flinging herself into my arms.

Excitement exploded as Bailey drove up in an ice blue, Honda Civic, with chrome spinner wheels. The car handles were shaved and it had geometric shaped designs on both sides of the car in silver and traced in black. The sound that came from the speakers filled the air with a rhythmic beat of heart pounding bass.
With one flick of a switch, mounted near the gear shift, the car began to show off its brand new custom hydraulics.
