My sister has an adorable little chihuahua named Tinkerbell, named after Paris Hilton's famous pet. Tinkerbell is tiny, affectionate and faithful, however, she is definitely like any dog we've ever encountered before. She is more similar to a very spoiled, yet fashionable child. Her wardrobe of small dog clothes is so extensive that she puts my modest collection of clothing to shame.

Air force records and other records of military service are carefully preserved by the government. I know, because my grandfather was a pilot in world war two and we are all very proud of him, but for a while, he was a mystery. My dad was young when his father died, and did not really know how he died or when. His mother was already dead, and so he couldn't ask her, and there were no other older relatives to ask.

Public records are available to such an alarming rate that it appears that we have no privacy anymore. For a small fee, you can look up the past of any one on the internet, and get tax records, personal records, adress, and many other things. The information has always been available - at least much of it has - but it used to be very difficult to get unless you were a government law enforcement agent.

This precautionary step is a great screening tool for employers who hire people who work with children. Recently, I have come across a few news articles that involve people who work with children who have a criminal record.
