Every day, more than eighty percent of the nation's preschool-aged children are cared for during the day by someone other than a parent. The increasing need for qualified daycare workers has produced an industry where the hands-on workers who provide the actual services are in high demand. Yet, the childcare industry boasts some of the lowest paid workers in the country.

Since when did America's highways become a lethal game of bumper cars? Since stress has overtaken the nation's drivers and we've all somehow come to accept bad behavior as the norm. Johnson insists that continued support for black perpetrators who commit crimes against white victims belie the instances of violence when blacks themselves are the victims and their fellow blacks the perps.

Ah...the thrill of being a black man in corporate America. Actually, it's not all that bad, but it sure isn't everything it's cracked up to be. There are some inherent problems, but, sure, there are some benefits too. Not everyone makes you feel as if you are the token of the organization, but, still, some things continue to need addressing. I'd like to explore those issues, good and bad, one by one.

America has a black man running for the highest office in the land, and it's not Bill Clinton.

Unlike many other sports superstars Tiger Woods has never been a man to surround himself in controversy. He's not out late with the paparazzi following him. He's not shedding tears on national television over other players. He is not giving his opinions on Tom Cruise or Britney Spears to tabloids and he is certainly not giving opinions on race relations in professional golf or otherwise.
