Pokemon is, basically, a game created by Nintendo which is a favorite with boys and adolescent boys (mostly) all around the world. For these, much of their'spinoff' commerce of these Pokemon phenomena- that the plush dolls, the Pokemon characters, the Zuken characters - is quaint but not specific relevant to their primary pursuit, which will be to win the match by becoming a winner. For players, the attention and interest lies in a completely different region of the mind than it does to a young enthusiast. Their focus is on technique and strategy vis-a-vis a computer port, not on the particularities of these personalities themselves.
There's an entirely different set of aficionados however who adore the Pokemon themselves and likely want nothing more than the Pokemon were really real, much in how I wanted dinosaurs were real when I was a boy. These are the children that go mad over the Pokemon cartoon and manga, not the players. These children like to immerse themselves to the mythical dream of a Pokemon world. All these are also the children that are likely to go mad over the Pokemon dolls called plush dolls (Pokemon Black and White is your big seller in the present time ), the Pokemon white and black characters, and virtually anything using a Pokemon figure stamped onto it.
Another group of children, again, for the most part boys, for one reason or another end up brought to the Pokemon card game. For these, the emphasis is on interacting, winning, and getting hold of uncommon cards such as a number of the mythical Pokemon cards, the holofoil cards, promo cards, and glistening raikon. Perhaps these children, usually basic school pupils, do not have access to or aren't permitted to some game console, are banned from playing with machines, or (what I imagine) are a lot more inclined to be with their buddies in real interaction than solitarily playing a pc game. Whatever the case, cards are affordable and simple to play everywhere.
But back to the name and into the prevalence of soft, cuddly Pokemon toys, is itn't surprising that kids would be drawn to mutated creatures with amazing and destructive forces and take into the stuffed dolls nearly like teddy bears? Pikachu looks adorable but you'd never wish to be on the receiving end of the 10,000-volt electric charge. Pokemon are scary, are not they?
Japan has proven a cleverness and experience in infusing cuteness to its merchandising through recent years. It's so very good at it using all the Pokemon that even the most angry one among them are defused into the extent that a 3 year old may be drawn to them. With much more devious children, they simply understand that under the Pokemon's benevolent looking outside lies a concealed strong punch. In a nutshell, Nintendo has promoted Pokemon both ways- and won.
